Frequently asked questions

Can I try Pro before paying?

Every new account gets a free 14-day Pro trial with all Pro features and 50 real-device renders included, no credit card required. After 14 days, you can subscribe to keep Pro or continue on the free plan.

What counts as a render?

One render is one email client, screenshotted once. Light and dark mode of the same client count as one render, not two — so rendering your email across all 11 clients uses 11 renders. Your allowance resets on the 1st of each month, and you can always see how much you've used on your dashboard and billing page. Renders are shared across your team: one subscription funds one allowance, so inviting teammates doesn't multiply it.

What happens if I run out of renders?

Rendering pauses until your allowance resets on the 1st, and everything else keeps working — your projects, comments, approvals, guest reviewers and previously rendered screenshots are all still there. We show your usage as you go so it shouldn't be a surprise. If you're regularly running out on Pro, Business raises the allowance from 1,000 to 3,000 renders a month and lets rendering continue past it at $0.05 a render.

What does the Business plan add?

Everything in Pro, plus white-label client reviews (your logo and accent color on every preview page you share, with no EmailQA badge), room for bigger teams (25 members instead of 10), a full year of render history instead of 90 days, an exportable audit log, and complete access to the EmailQA REST API: upload HTML, trigger real-device renders, and fetch screenshots programmatically, from your CI pipeline, campaign platform, or scripts. It also raises your render allowance from 1,000 to 3,000 a month. That is one pool covering everything — renders your team clicks in the app and renders your pipeline triggers over the API draw from the same 3,000, counted the same way, so there is no second quota to track. Webhooks notify you the moment renders finish. Past 3,000, rendering keeps working — in the app and over the API alike — and bills automatically at $0.05 a render, up to a hard ceiling of 12,000 a month. We email you at 80% and 100% of your allowance, and the app shows the per-render cost before you spend past the included 3,000, so nothing arrives as a surprise.

Do you have API documentation?

Yes. The full API reference is public at emailqa.live/docs/api, including a quick start, endpoint examples, webhook signature verification, and rate limits. You can evaluate the entire API before subscribing.

Can I pay yearly?

Yes. Pro is $200 when billed yearly — you pay for 10 months and get 12, two months free compared to the $240 you'd pay month to month. You can pick monthly or yearly billing at checkout, and switch between them any time from the billing portal.

What happens to my projects if I downgrade?

Your existing projects remain accessible. On the free plan you can create up to 3 new projects each month, so you'll just be capped at that pace until you upgrade again.

Do guest reviewers need to pay?

No! Guest reviewers can comment on your projects for free, no account required. Only project owners need a paid plan for premium features.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. You'll retain access to your plan's features until the end of your billing period.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards through Stripe. Your payment information is securely processed and never stored on our servers.
